I’m A Millionaire That Lives In A Van

Van Life

Money.

I’m sure many of you are wondering how I make it, what I do with it, and why I’m not spending it.  In this post, I’m going to transparently break down how I make money while living in a van.

Truth be told, I’ve been making money online through the ways I’m about to share with you for years now.  Today, I just happen to live in a van and continue to run said multi-million dollar businesses from my tiny home.  There’s a lot of people who live in a van and there’s a lot of people who work from home or remotely.  Put those together and you get the best of both worlds — me!

Let’s jump into the different income streams that made me money in the past 30 days.

Content Creation

How much money do I make from creating videos or social media posts?

Medium

The first platform that pays me for content creation is Medium.  Medium is a website for writers.  They allow writers to post articles and post them as paid content, meaning to read the post, you must pay.

Clearly, I don't try very hard on this platform because in the past 30 days I have made $0.93.

Skillshare

Skillshare is a website that allows you to post mini-course videos and tutorials.  My dance videos from years ago are still on my Skillshare and still being in income!

In the past 30 days I made $151.50.

Udemy

Similarly, Udemy is a site that hosts your mini-courses.  I have the same videos uploaded here that I have on Skillshare.

Udemy paid me $43.82 in the past 30 days.

TikTok

Next on the list is Tikok.  My video editor recently told me that I need to get on TikTok and start creating new dances.  Maybe that's why I’m not making as much as I should be…

From TikTok, I’ve made around $503.09.

YouTube

YouTube is my super big breadwinner when it comes to the category of content creation.  I will be honest, YouTube pays me a decent amount.

In the past 30 days, YouTube paid me $3,723.74

This makes my total income, just from creating content, $4,423.08 in the last 30 days.

Marketing Agency

If you didn't know, I own a marketing agency and employ 12 people there.  I pay myself a $60,000 a year salary, not including dividends and bonuses.  We primarily service financial institutions and credit unions.

Because I’m on salary, my agency paid me $5,000 in the past month.

Courses

Yes, I sell courses online.  I know this is a very taboo field because there are some really ugly coaches out there — ugly on the inside, I mean.  Courses only make up a small percent of my income and I plan to keep it that way.  I want to stay more of an athlete than a coach.

Courses made me $6,488 in the last 30 days.

Brand Deals

This income stream is the easiest money I’ve made in the past 30 days but it took me the longest to get.  A brand deal is where a brand pays you to make content that you would otherwise make for free!   Now, you do need to have quite a following before brands will start reaching out.  Don’t let this discourage you.  Keep posting content and I promise the followers will come.

Brand deals came out to $10,500 in the past month.

E-Commerce

E-commerce used to be my number 1 source of income but now it takes the spot for number 2.  I have an e-commerce store for a beauty brand and nobody really knows that it’s me behind the brand.  Out of all of the ways to make money online, I think e-commerce is the toughest.  That being said, it has the potential to scale to be a million dollar brand.

After the cost of goods, my profit comes in at $13,810 in the last 30 days.

Affiliate Marketing

My last and biggest income stream is probably what I’m most known for on the internet — affiliate marketing.  I’m an affiliate for over 300 brands that I promote and make a profit from.  I think this is the best side hustle to try.  It is super low risk and it requires zero overhead.

I was just on the phone with my dad this morning who told me that, in the past month, affiliate marketing made me $42,870.

When everything is added together, I made $82,091 in the past 30 days.

I wanted to share my numbers with you to prove how many different ways there are to make money online.  I hope to inspire you to try and take action for yourself!
