How to Get Started on TikTok

3 Tips On How I Got 800K Followers

In this post, I share how I got 800,000 followers on TikTok without doing any cringy dances! Keep reading for 3 universally proven strategies that you can copy in order to do the same.

TikTok is evolving; it is now mainstream. The social media app has been a go-to platform for millions to learn, relax, and share their content. Lucky for us creators, the demand for content is high! There's never been a better time to hop on the influencer train!

1. Tell Your Story

First, you must craft your story in a compelling way. What sets you apart from other creators in your niche? What makes you relatable? What experiences can you share with your audience? What different perspectives of your life can you portray on camera? Find your “coolness factor”.

2. Keep it short

15 seconds is the shortest your TikTok video should be. That being said, you only have 3 seconds at the beginning of your video to capture the viewer and convince them to watch the rest. This is called the hook. Be sure to clearly state or use curiosity to invoke the viewer to continue watching.

3. Post 3 Times/Day

That's right, three! One in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one at night. This is the work — you cant avoid it! You might be able to post less and get lucky, but I don't like leaving anything up to chance. You may have to batch create content and plan out a posting schedule. It sounds like a lot of work now, but when you compare it to working a 9 to 5 and climbing the corporate ladder, making 3 TikToks seems pretty easy!

If you want to crush TikTok in 2022, you have to share your story, captivate the viewer with a hook, and stick to a consistent posting schedule. If you commit to TikTok this year, leave a comment below (and don't forget to drop your TikTok handle!).

I wish you the best of luck! Peace and God bless!
