(Step by Step)

I cant believe that I am just learning about this strategy!  Ten years ago when I was first starting my side hustle journey, it would have come in handy so many times and probably would've made making money much easier. 

When I first read the book The 4-Hour Work Week, my mind was blown.  How could I say no to not working a nine to five, basically traveling the world, and making money in my sleep?  In the beginning, things were rough.  I had so many internal emotions of failure.  I was investing in my online business with the little money I had.  What if I lost it all?  

I thought being a YouTuber was going to win it all for me.  However, after a year of posting dance videos and tutorials, I didn't make a single dime.  I thought for sure that after two years of working my butt off I would finally earn some profit, right?  Wrong.  I still wasn't making anything.  It wasn't until my third year online that I started to earn some (not a lot) of money.  

The strategy I want to talk about today takes the same philosophy I had back then and applies the technology we have today.  

The Philosophy

I like to put myself back into the same shoes I started in.  Back then, I had no money and couldn’t afford to spend money on running ads or a fancy website.  I still operate from this bootstrap mentality; I’ve never taken out a loan and I’ve never put myself in debt.  I try to do everything in my power to not spend money by being scrappy and utilizing free tools and methods.  

The Method

One way to do this is to make digital products.  Instead of selling a wine glass, make a digital tutorial on how to make a wine glass.  My first digital product was a dance tutorial.  It cost me virtually nothing to make and it was still extremely profitable.  

 

Amazon Books

Hear me out on this one — this is not Amazon FBA.  Amazon has the most massive library of books on the internet.  Most people think writing a book is this crazy thing that takes years to do.  Well, in some cases this is true, but not in your case.  Amazon allows you to create niche books.  These books will never become New York Times bestsellers but they will put income in your pocket.  The work that it takes to create these books are minimal.  In fact, I’m going to teach you a hack that takes out all the work.  All you need to do is create the title and the cover.  

I’m sure we’re all familiar with the Amazon homepage and everything they have.  What you should be interested in is the book section.  Remember that you aren't going to be creating a saga or an in-depth story.  Your goal is to make quick, passive income.  

One of the most overlooked and easy to create types of books are journals.  Today, I will be creating mine using Book Bolt.  Book Bolt makes creating journals online stupid easy.  You can create an account here.  

Once you're in, type in any niche or idea into the keyword box.  Next, in the category box, select notebook.  When you hit search, a few data points will pop up.  The lowest, highest, and average prices will appear.  Journals usually go for around $10.  

 

Book Bolt has tons of different templates you can use to make the journal specific to your niche.  All you have to do is make the cover and Book Bolt will do the rest for you.  

The price of each book is listed in the product description.  Underneath is a number that indicated how many print-on-demand copies have been sold within the past 30 days.  For example, the #Badass Lined Notebook above has had 195 estimated sales at $5.99 apiece.  This just over $1,000 in sales!  That is stupid easy money that could be in your pocket.  

To the right is a bank of keywords that are in the product descriptions of the generated results.  These will come in handy when you go to create your own journal.  You can use these words to leverage your sales.  

A journal only takes 20 minutes to create and can bring you anywhere from $100 to $1,000 a month.  Sure, $100 isn’t a lot but say you spend the time to make 10 books.  That’s an extra $1,000 to $10,000 in your pocket per month.  

Here’s the icing on the cake.  After you've done your research, click the create button in the top left corner.  By opening the BookBolt Designer, you are all ready to start designing your cover.   Book Bolt has a variety of graphics, fonts, and effects for you to use.  

Once your cover is done, move to the interior.  Be sure to select the appropriate page size before designing.  Again, Book Bolt has hundreds of pages to choose from.  I’m talking, planners, music sheets, checklists, and so much more.  The possibilities are endless.  

Book Bolt literally takes care of everything.  Trust me, I’ve tried all the side hustles.  I think this is the most untapped side hustle of 2021.  If you're just starting out, don't have a lot of capital, and want to pursue a low-risk business, this is it.  At the end of the day, it’s all about effort! Everything else is already done for you.

Once you create your first journal, do it again, and again, and again.  The more seeds you plant, the more income you’ll receive!  The only thing I regret is not using Book Bolt sooner!
