7 Books You Need to Read in 2022
These are seven books you need to read in 2022 if you want to have a happier, better, and more successful life. All seven of these prints changed my life and inspired me to launch my now seven-figure online business.
Books are like the cheat codes to life. It amazes me that people are so generous with their value and knowledge to the point where they put it into words to share with the world. If reading isn't currently part of your daily routine, you need to incorporate it! I start every morning by reading and journaling my thoughts and goals.
When I read, I like to highlight sections and add sticky notes throughout the pages. This way, all my favorite parts are marked and I won't have to reread if I need to reference them.
1. I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi
Money is something that we cannot avoid; it is part of living a life in this world! You may not have a great relationship with money or may think it's evil. However, in all reality, we need to understand it. Having financial freedom clarity allows you to live a happier life because you don't have to worry about things like money and debt.
People who are very successful in business do not equate to being financially literate. Some of the most successful people, even politicians, live paycheck to paycheck. If you want to learn about money, you have to do it through books!
This book is a great selection for beginners. Ramit Sethi breaks concepts down in a super digestible way that's funny, entertaining, and educational all at the same time. If you want to get your money right, start with this book!
2. Unshakeable by Tony Robbins
This is another book about finance that ties into your life's goals and missions. For example, Tony writes about how much your dream life will actually cost and provides step-by-step instructions to calculate just that. This book also talks about what different investing strategies are out there so you can hopefully build your own portfolio.
Tony Robbins is an awesome, motivating guy who gets to interview some of the sharpest minds in the finance space — like Warren Buffet and Ray Dalio — and puts their words of advice in this book.
3. The Plant Paradox by Steven Gundry
Enough talk about money, let's talk about food! I think it's really important to spend a little bit of your energy learning about what goes into your body. We only get one body and it's super important we take care of it! I tried the plant paradox meal plan and, I'm not going to lie, it was awful! I did not follow it to a T because it is very hard to sustain! That being said, it really did change the way I think about food and my diet in general.
Think of your body as a machine. What you put into the machine determines how it runs. Your body will never be able to run at full capacity if you are putting bad stuff in it! This book really breaks down the science behind the food we eat and I have forever changed what I put in my body because of it!
4. The One Thing by Gary Keller
This book is about one word — focus. As a population, we seem to have so many priorities and tasks in motion at once in all areas of our life, business and personal. This selection really makes you think about what really matters and dives into how to eliminate distractions so you can focus on those essential tasks.
Our time is so limited here on Earth. If we could just focus on what matters, intentionally, we would be happier, more successful, and further along with our dreams.
5. Atomic Habits by James Clear
This is honestly one of the best books I've ever read. Habits are the actions that you take, whether consciously or unconsciously, every single day. Your actions define you. When you repeat your actions, you create habits that can work both for and against you.
The science behind habits and how they control your life is amazing. After all, we are simply creatures of habit! This book will help you hardwire healthy habits and teach you how to yield that skill.
6. Principles by Ray Dalio
If you don't know who Ray Dalio is, he runs one of the largest hedge funds in the world. He is extremely methodical and transparent in how he's designed his entire company. It's fascinating how he lives his life and deals with various relationships. In this book, Ray talks about all of the above, and even how to think! His words have had a major impact on how I perceive things and I highly recommend it!
7. Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl
Last but not least is a publication from Austrian neuroscientist Viktor Frankl. This is the first book that ever made me cry! Viktor was a Holocaust survivor and talks about his time at the camps. His story really put everything into perspective for me. Anytime I’m having a bad day, I remember this book and remind myself that I will never truly experience how bad life can really get. I hold this book very near to my heart.
So, there you have it! If you want to change anything from your health, your wealth, your mindset, or your perspective in 2022, these are the seven books I recommend.
Reading can be something that is very hard to integrate. Remember, all you have to do is start with one page. If people could put down their phones and start reading just 30 minutes a day, it could change the world.
Thanks for reading. Peace and God bless.
