How to Deal With Internet Trolls & Hate Comments

No matter what business you're in, chances are you've had to deal with an internet troll or two. You know, those people who hide behind their computers and say hateful things just for the sake of being mean? Unfortunately, they're a part of life online. But there are ways to deal with them so that they don't ruin your day (or your business). Here's how:

1. Don't Feed the Trolls

This is the most important rule when it comes to dealing with trolls. Whatever you do, don't engage with them! If you respond to their hateful comments, you're only giving them what they want—attention. And trust me, that's the last thing you want to do. The best thing you can do is ignore them and move on.

2. Use Positive Language

When you're responding to hateful comments, it's important to use positive language. This means no name-calling or trash-talking. Keep your responses short and sweet, and resist the urge to stoop to their level. Not only will this make you look better, but it'll also make the trolls look bad in comparison. Win-win!

3. Report & Block Them

If someone is repeatedly trolling your account or posting hateful comments, don't hesitate to report and block them. This will help keep your account safe and ensure that the troll doesn't bother you (or your followers) anymore. 

Dealing with internet trolls can be a pain, but it doesn't have to be if you know how to handle them properly. Just remember not to engage with them, use positive language, and report/block them if necessary. By following these tips, you'll be able to keep your account safe and sound—trolls be damned!
